Guidelines for the Final Project for the 1st Quarter

IT Portfolio

update: for sections Gonzaga and Claver ONLY
a. for the groupings, use the grouping you have for your classes.
b. submit your projects on August 17, 2009, Monday

The IT portfolio is composed of a group project and individual projects from the students.
It will have a PowerPoint presentation about the "History of Computers" and an essay about "How will Information Technology affect me and the world 10 years from now?"

General Guidelines:
1. Assign a group leader who will facilitate the creation of the group project and submission of all the projects.

Specific Guidelines
Group Project
1. Students are divided into 5 groups.
2. They are going to create a PowerPoint presentation about the history of computers.
3. The finished output will have to be written in a CD for submission.

Individual Project
1. The students are to answer the essay question posted above.
2. The essay should be at least 2 paragraphs.
3. The students are going to print them in a short bond paper.

These projects should be submitted as a group. The individual projects cannot be submitted individually to the teacher. Group leaders should take charge in collecting all the projects of the group members prior to submission. Place all collected projects in a short brown envelope with your group number, group members and section.

Guidelines for the Final Project for the 4th Quarter

These are the guidelines for the Final Project for the 4th Quarter in Grade Six I.T.

1. You are going to create an HTML Document that answers these questions:
  • What did i enjoy most as a grade six student this year? (It could be a lesson, a subject, a teacher, etc. that made your grade six experience worthwhile)

  • What did i enjoy most during our IT classes this school year?

(Minimum of 2 paragraphs to be able to answer these questions. You may place images if you want. )
2. Filename is "FPSectionFamilyName.html "
3. Add a link of this document from your profile page. (Your profile page is our exercise number 4)

4.Deadline of IT project is on March 02 , 2009

FInal Project for the 3rd Quarter

The final project for the 3rd Quarter is to code, compile and run your own java program.
Guidelines:
1. Choose from Lesson 39 (Calculator.java) or Lesson 40 (TicTacToe.java) as your final project.
2. If you have already selected your final project, code, compile and run it.
3. This project is due on January 5, 2009, so make sure that it is already working before January 5, 2009 so make the necessary corrections to your code before the due date.
4. If you have questions, feel free to see me at the IT Office.

Session 3-08-09

Create your PPT Template file.
Follow the picture guide below:
1.
a. Create the ppt template file.
b.Open a MS PowerPoint
c.Click on the Slide Master

2. On the slide master, locate the footer and type your name and section.

3. Save with filename: PPT template in your section folders, then close the application.
After creating your templates, proceed to the instructions below.

Open your PPT Template file and create a presentation on the "Classifications of Computers."

Please read the ff. so that you will have an idea on what we will be doing in our IT classes for the whole school year.



1. Important Lab Rules:

-Rule # 2-I will return the chair and the computer peripherals properly after each use.

-Rule # 3-I will be respectful and courteous towards my classmates, teacher and laboratory-in-charge at all times.

-Rule # 4-I will immediately inform the teacher if the computer unit or any of its parts are not functioning properly.

-Rule # 6-I will not go inside the computer laboratory if the teacher is not around.

-Rule # 8-I will not go to websites that are not prescribed as good for children.

-Rule # 9-I will not use the computer to harm other people or their work/s.

-Rule # 13-I will not open other people's files.

Final Project for the Second Quarter

These are the instructions for the final project for this quarter. The final projects are due on October 12 , 2007. Please submit them as a class to the IT office on or before the due date. Late papers will not be accepted. These instructions will be deleted after the due date.

General Instructions:

a. Print the completed exercises. (Printing can be done at the IT Center. Just bring your own paper.)

b. You are supposed to submit 2 papers per student one will be the spreadsheet printout andthe other one will be the printout of your powerpoint presentation placed in an MS Word document.


c. The class president will gather all the projects and place them in a long brown envelope. The envelopes will be provided, you don't need to buy. Only one envelope per class.

MS Excel

1. Answer and complete the data on the Spread Sheet.

2. The file can be downloaded here.

If the download won't work, check http://groups.google.com/group/it-classes and then go to the Files and then look for the file named: g6_fp.xls

3. Note: Please disregard instuction number 3 of the worksheet.

MS Powerpoint

1. Create a presentation with a minimum of 10 slides.

2. The topic for the presentation is: "Wonderful Places to go to in Mindanao"

3. Apply transitions, design templates and animations.

4. Save the slides as pictures using the "Save As>JPEG Interchange Format" command.



MS Word

1. Insert the powerpoint slide pictures you have created in a blank document. Adjust the size of the inserted pictures to make three slides fit in one page of your paper.

2. List down the transitions and animations applied on the slide after each picture.
