2nd Quater Final Project

1. The students are to have created the three (3 ) web pages that were assigned as their exercises from the previous meetings.
2. If all the webpages are created, they can now proceed to the formatting of the pages. The source codes can be found on lesson 9 of the book and the web.
Formatting Exercise:
a. In trial exercise, change font face to “Arial or Verdana”
b. Underline the text “Nichole”
c. Italicize the text “Welcome to my Site”
d. In Exer1, change the font color of your name.
e. Insert your image and align in the center of the page.
f. In Exer2, insert an image that best describes each of your lists.
g. Using the Internet, search for a code that will change the background of your pages. You may use a different background for each page or stick to one color if you like.
h. Add this text on your trial exercise: “This is my trial HTML page.”
i. Create a new HTML Document with the following:
-A heading with the text: MY SECOND Quarter project
-Insert an image to it that should link to exer2.

1. Read Emerging Technologies from your book.
2. Choose an emerging technology and e-mail your answer to the following questions in paragraph form:
       a. What are the current developments in the emerging technology that you chose?
       b. Why did you choose the said emerging technology?
3. E-mail your answers @ addugs6@gmail.com before July 7, 2010.
4. You may use the IT Lab B for this assignment during your freetime.

1. Create a school email address using gmail.  The format should be like this: [name intials][familyname][birthdate]@gmail.com 
(Example: Student's name is Mark Paul Samante and your birthdate is July 13, so your email address should be: mpsamante0713@gmail.com)
2. Submit this in a 1/4 sheet of paper together with your password on June 21, 2010 during our IT Class.
3. Read Lesson 1 of your Tekkids book pp.3-7.

2nd Quarter Final Project Guidelines

The project for the second quarter is an individual work.
The students are to choose 1 from the given topics:
a. How to upload pictures on the web?
b. How to install music in an mp3 player?
c. How to create an account in a social networking site?

The students can research for the steps using the internet provided that they cite the source of their information.  After choosing one topic, they are going to list down all the steps involved in their notebooks.  They are then to create a flowchart & pseudocode for the steps involved.

After doing the flowchart & pseudocode, the students are to answer the following questions:

1. Problem Definition (What is the problem?)
2. Problem Analysis (How can I answer the problem?)
3. Possible Solutions (What are ways that I can answer/solve the problem?)
This project will be computer written in a short bond paper.
Components for grading:
Portfolio (90%)
Listing of Steps 10 pts
Flowchart 10 pts
Pseudocode 10 pts
Problem Definition 5 pts
Problem Analysis 5 pts
Possible Solutions 5 pts
Punctuality (10%) 5 pts

Submission of project is on or before October 09, 2009. You may submit your projects during you class IT time or at the IT office.

Activity for the week of September 1-4, 2009

Since we have a limited number of meetings for this week because of the holiday and our card day, i have a few activities for you to do.

You can do it at home or even in the school IT laboratories during your free time.

Directions:
1. Read lessons 21 & 25 of your book.
2. Answer the quiz.(Quiz has already been taken down)
3. The quiz will be taken down on September 5, 2009 so make sure that you are able to take it before September 5, 2009.

Guidelines for the Final Project for the 1st Quarter

IT Portfolio

update: for sections Gonzaga and Claver ONLY
a. for the groupings, use the grouping you have for your classes.
b. submit your projects on August 17, 2009, Monday

The IT portfolio is composed of a group project and individual projects from the students.
It will have a PowerPoint presentation about the "History of Computers" and an essay about "How will Information Technology affect me and the world 10 years from now?"

General Guidelines:
1. Assign a group leader who will facilitate the creation of the group project and submission of all the projects.

Specific Guidelines
Group Project
1. Students are divided into 5 groups.
2. They are going to create a PowerPoint presentation about the history of computers.
3. The finished output will have to be written in a CD for submission.

Individual Project
1. The students are to answer the essay question posted above.
2. The essay should be at least 2 paragraphs.
3. The students are going to print them in a short bond paper.

These projects should be submitted as a group. The individual projects cannot be submitted individually to the teacher. Group leaders should take charge in collecting all the projects of the group members prior to submission. Place all collected projects in a short brown envelope with your group number, group members and section.

Guidelines for the Final Project for the 4th Quarter

These are the guidelines for the Final Project for the 4th Quarter in Grade Six I.T.

1. You are going to create an HTML Document that answers these questions:
  • What did i enjoy most as a grade six student this year? (It could be a lesson, a subject, a teacher, etc. that made your grade six experience worthwhile)

  • What did i enjoy most during our IT classes this school year?

(Minimum of 2 paragraphs to be able to answer these questions. You may place images if you want. )
2. Filename is "FPSectionFamilyName.html "
3. Add a link of this document from your profile page. (Your profile page is our exercise number 4)

4.Deadline of IT project is on March 02 , 2009

FInal Project for the 3rd Quarter

The final project for the 3rd Quarter is to code, compile and run your own java program.
Guidelines:
1. Choose from Lesson 39 (Calculator.java) or Lesson 40 (TicTacToe.java) as your final project.
2. If you have already selected your final project, code, compile and run it.
3. This project is due on January 5, 2009, so make sure that it is already working before January 5, 2009 so make the necessary corrections to your code before the due date.
4. If you have questions, feel free to see me at the IT Office.

Session 3-08-09

Create your PPT Template file.
Follow the picture guide below:

a. Create the ppt template file.
b.Open a MS PowerPoint
c.Click on the Slide Master

Please read the ff. so that you will have an idea on what we will be doing in our IT classes for the whole school year.



1. Important Lab Rules:

-Rule # 2-I will return the chair and the computer peripherals properly after each use.

-Rule # 3-I will be respectful and courteous towards my classmates, teacher and laboratory-in-charge at all times.

-Rule # 4-I will immediately inform the teacher if the computer unit or any of its parts are not functioning properly.

-Rule # 6-I will not go inside the computer laboratory if the teacher is not around.

-Rule # 8-I will not go to websites that are not prescribed as good for children.

-Rule # 9-I will not use the computer to harm other people or their work/s.

-Rule # 13-I will not open other people's files.
